Facing the development of trams as an urban transport mode preferred by the organising authorities, the Ministry of Transport has adopted a twin approach of modernisation by updating the procedure for authorising these systems, and reorganising its control agencies . All the legislative and regulatory texts published in 2002 and 2003 represent the foundation for this modernisation.
