Take a moment to explore STRMTG’s new English website!
STRMTG’s English website had a facelift in September 2023. Like all our other Ministry of Ecological Transition (MTE) websites, we’ve made some changes to the graphics and organisation of the sections.
Here’s a quick overview to help you find your way around.
6 main sections
At the top, you will find the 6 main headings in the white banner:
- Presentation of STRMTG
- Urban guided transport
- Railway and rail bike
- • Ropeways transport and mountain conveyor belts
- Automated road transport
- Notified Body NB1267
In “Presentation”,you’ll find all the general information you need about our service. This section has been designed to give you all the information you need to get to know us better, all in one place, including our responsibilities, our organisational structure, our office locations, and an overview of all the transport systems we oversee. This section contains STRMTG activity reports, annual reports on the transport systems we oversee, news and major projects.
Next, you’ll find links for more information for each transport system: urban guided transport, metre-gauge railways/tourist and heritage railways and rail bikes, cableways and mountain conveyor belts, and automated road transport systems (ARTS), each with the same presentation:
- Administrative regulations
- Technical regulations (including implementation guides and technical factsheets),
- Recommendations
- Accidentology
- Approvals/Certifications
- Opinions
- Studies and research
- Exchanges with professionals
The last section on the far right covers the role of STRMTG as anotified bodyand the information manufacturers need to obtain certification for their products.
Search toolbar
As you scroll down to the home page, you’ll see a blue toolbar where you can search the site.
Simply type the word or phrase you want to search for in the toolbar, then click “Search”.
As our website is new, this search bar has taken a little time to become operational. Thank you for your patience!
“News” section
Next you’ll find two main news items with a visual, and four secondary news items (on the right) with just the headlines.
These news items change every 3 to 5 weeks, and to see previous items, simply click “See all news” in the bottom right-hand corner.
“Highlight” section
Here, we highlight a particular article. It is displayed with the title, description, internal or external links and attachments. It also features an image.
To start, we have focused on urban aerial ropeways, an increasing area of focus in France which STRMTG oversees, alongside aerial ropeways at mountain resorts.
These articles are intended to remain on the page for several months.
“Folders” section
This section at the bottom of the home page contains several articles by theme. It contains the following two folders:
- a main “Regulations” folder containing all the regulations for our systems, with a clear introduction.
- a secondary file listing all “Studies and research” related to the service: studies concerning urban guided transport (published and in progress), studies concerning cableways and mountain resort conveyor belts (published and in progress) and cross-disciplinary studies (battery study, fire study, etc.).
“Footer” section
Finally, at the bottom of the home page you can share our content and subscribe to our site. If you subscribe, you’ll receive an email each time an article is published, a comment is added, and so on.
We hope you enjoy exploring our new website!
