Authorisation procedures for mixed systems

The purpose of this guide, prepared jointly by STRMTG and EPSF in collaboration with the rail and urban guided transport sectors, is to provide:

  1. the specific authorisation procedures for mixed systems (infrastructure and vehicles) covered by Title III of Decree no. 2017-440 of 30 March 2017 on the safety of public guided transport (SPTG);
  2. the coordination, in this context, between the procedures provided for by Decree no. 2006-1279 of 19 October 2006 on the safety of rail traffic and the interoperability of the rail system, and those provided for by Decree no. 2017-440.

The purpose of this guide is to clarify and explain applicable safety regulations. They formalise the agreed expectations of STRMTG, EPSF and the sector, thus providing a framework to facilitate the work of professionals. They are not regulatory in nature.
