In 2012, the initial technical reference document from 2005 was replaced by a “STRMTG technical guide”, which details all the requirements of the amended Order of 29/09/2010. The “Mountain Resort Travelators” Technical Guide was prepared by a working group of professionals led by STRMTG. It was published and came into force on 13 July 2012. An initial minor amendment was made to the guide in October 2012. Then, in 2017, the technical guide was updated, resulting in the current version 2 of 13 July 2017.

A European Committee for Standardization (CEN) working group led by STRMTG drafted standard EN 15700:2011 on “Safety for travelators for winter sport or leisure use”.
This standard presumes compliance with the essential requirements of EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC within the limits of its scope.
